Women's lacrosse

Women's lacrosse is played with a team of 10 players: one goalie, three defenders, three midfielders and three attackers. Within Women's lacrosse the emphasis is on tactics, technique and speed, so officially it is not a physical contact sport. However, it is allowed to “check”, so slashing with your stick on someone else's stick, which results in the ball falling out of the stick. A lacrosse match takes 4 x 15 minutes. During the game the players are obliged to wear a mouthguard and goggles.
